Where do we go?Erkin Aydin2018-08-01T04:33:15+00:00
We are currently accepting applications for our Mediterranean Co-working Retreat in Ölüdeniz (Blue Lagoon), Turkey. The retreat will be open for 4 weeks between 22nd September 2018 and 20th October 2018. You can join for 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks, totally up to you. More retreats will be coming soon.
In order to provide a wonderful experience for the tribe, we select our destinations with the following criteria in mind.
Inspiration: Our destinations are naturally beautiful, historically intriguing, culturally rich.
Good weather: Blue skies and sunshine are endless sources of inspiration, so we always keep weather in mind when picking our destinations.
Fun activities: We look for a wide range of activities at our destinations so that there is something for every taste from outdoor lovers to foodies, sun worshippers to adrenaline junkies.
Low cost of living: Helps keep our fees and your daily spending as low as possible.
Safety: Always our top priority.
How long is the trip? Can I stay longer or shorter?Erkin Aydin2018-08-01T04:41:44+00:00
Although there are different options in each destination and retreat, we prefer you to join for at least two weeks because we believe this gives you and the community a richer experience. Of course you are more than welcome to stay with us longer… Well, as long as we have space! So it’s always best to book well in advance.
We do understand that sometimes plans need to be changed. Therefore, if something comes up during the trip and you must leave early, we’ll sadly let you go.
Our upcoming Mediterranean Co-working Retreat will be open for 4 weeks between 22nd September 2018 and 20th October 2018. You can join us for 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks, it’s entirely up to you.

We provide private and comfortable accommodation, mostly with amazing sea views and swimming pool. We always value quality over price. Here’s what you will get:
Comfort: We book prime holiday villas or retreats for exclusive use of our tribe. They provide all comforts of home and have character. You will have private rooms usually with kitchen and balcony. Bathrooms may be shared with other Bright Tribers but never with strangers, and in some locations you can have private, en-suite bathrooms. We also have rooms for sharing if you prefer to join as a couple or friends.
Swimming pool: We try hard to pick places with a swimming pool at your doorstep.
Cleaning: Regular housekeeping and cleaning services will be provided at your retreat.
Transportation: The retreats are conveniently located close to town centres, beaches, restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars. Public transportation is within walking distance. Airport pickup on arrival is included.

There are plenty of options to eat out or get meals delivered to you. You will also have access to fully equipped kitchen in your retreat where you can store and cook food.

We have very different backgrounds and that’s great so. We respect all. That’s what makes the tribe rich and colourful. We are digital professionals, nomads, freelancers, entrepreneurs, developers, creatives, artists, bloggers and world travellers. Together we discover cities, set off on adventures, visit beaches, go on boat trips and organise parties.
While we have a lot of fun, our time together is not only a holiday. We also work on our passion projects, freelance work, blogs or whatever it is we do. We share our minds, skills and experiences. We brainstorm ideas, workshop through solutions and learn from each other.
This is not the right place for party animals or big egos. We select tribe members carefully to maintain a harmonious community. Most of the Bright Tribers are between their 20s and 40s, but we welcome all ages. We also try to keep an equal balance between genders.

What are Bright Tribe working spaces like?Erkin Aydin2018-07-19T14:32:16+00:00
Bright Tribe is not only about fun activities at beautiful destinations. We all have a purpose. This could be your freelance work, a passion project, the book or blog you’re writing, the start-up you’re launching or something more personal you’d like to focus on. Whichever it is, you’ll need a comfortable working environment to be productive.
Bright Tribe provides the most inspiring and motivating working environment at your retreat. There are communal indoor spaces for team gatherings, activities and workshops. In addition, outdoor terraces with sea views, tables by the swimming pool or private balconies are used to work. Naturally, there is always reliable and fastest possible wifi connection available.
What kind of professional activities can I expect?Erkin Aydin2018-07-19T14:33:59+00:00
Professional activities and topics vary in each trip depending on the fields of interest of the participants. We aim to know you, your work and interests better when we talk to you as part of the application process so that we can customise activities for your benefit. All the professional activities at Bright Tribe trips are on a voluntary basis. Although we believe they are useful for personal and professional development, you do not have to present, participate or share. At Bright Tribe, you can (un)structure your days as you wish.
Workshops & Presentations:
We offer all the Bright Tribers an opportunity to explore a topic of their preference with the community. This topic could be their own business idea, strategies to improve an aspect of their project, reviewing their business proposition, ways to overcome a challenge, improving marketing strategies, assessing their social media presence, or any other topic of interest for them. Our Experience Leaders with years of professional work experience can design and facilitate meetings, workshops and brainstorming sessions on the selected topics. Alternatively, you may prefer to present a topic to the community followed by a structured or free style discussion.
Talks & Classes:
We organise Talks and Classes on professional topics and generally interesting topics to learn about. Topics are selected depending on what interests participants. For example they could be about: Agile methodology, How to build an e-commerce web site on your own, Digital media advertising and measurement, Instagram photography, Project management 101, Publishing and marketing e-books, Introduction to mobile application development…
We run a number of team exercises that focus on communication, team building, brainstorming and decision making. Think of fun group activities that break the ice, accelerate interaction between participants and teach methods to approach daily challenges about work.
How flexible is my schedule going to be during the trip? Will I have free time?Erkin Aydin2018-07-19T14:37:24+00:00
Your schedule is entirely up to you and you will have as much free time as you like. We offer plenty of professional and fun activities to the community but it’s up to you to decide which ones you’d like to join in. Although we prefer the Bright Tribers to participate in activities and experience a real community feeling, everything is on a voluntary basis! It’s your trip and you can (un)structure your days as you wish.

Are Bright Tribe destinations safe?Erkin Aydin2018-07-07T22:37:54+00:00
Safety of every Bright Triber is our highest priority and it is the first thing we have in mind when selecting our destinations. We only go to locations that are visited by thousands of visitors every year. Our destinations will always have friendly living and working environments, very low crime rates, easily accessible and close by hospitals, medical centres and police stations, good infrastructure, well planned safety procedures.
There is always at least one Bright Tribe Experience Leader who speaks the local language (might be native to the location), knows the destination inside out, knows the local customs, ‘do’s and ‘don’t’s, guides the community about the activities, answers questions and runs the team events. Their sole job is to make sure the tribe is having an amazing time.
In addition, one of our founders always attends the trips personally to help run things smoothly.
We will provide in depth information about safety (along with all the other useful information) in your welcome pack & orientation session.
Do I need travel or medical insurance?Erkin Aydin2018-06-25T22:30:35+00:00
Your Bright Tribe fee doesn’t include travel or medical insurance. It’s entirely up to you whether to have travel or medical insurance, but we highly recommend it. Although we hope you’ll never need to use it, there is always risk involved with travelling. Travel and medical insurance is inexpensive and can be very useful if you needed it.
We used some insurance companies as travellers ourselves and we can recommend a few if you’d like to discuss.
What happens if I get ill on my trip?Erkin Aydin2018-08-01T05:22:53+00:00
There is always at least one Bright Tribe Experience Leader available to help and support you. They know how to reach taxis, pharmacies, medical centres and hospitals and they can speak the local language.
We will provide you with a welcome pack with all the useful information and there will be an orientation session on the first day.
